Billie White is a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe and grew up around the Rockyford area on the Pine Ridge reservation. She is a recent graduate from Black Hills State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Human Services, with an emphasis in community service. Currently, she is working towards a master’s degree in public health through South Dakota State University. During the Summer of 2015, Billie received the opportunity to intern for Thunder Valley CDC, as the Advancement Intern. Her passion for advocacy for the youth on the Pine Ridge reservation has been ongoing and she is grateful for the opportunity she now has with Thunder Valley CDC. Billie enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.
